Carbon Filter

Activated carbon is the most common method of treatment for dechlorination and removal of taste and odor from water, through adsorption of the compounds that cause these problems.

Activated carbon filter operates through adsorption. Adsorption is directly related to the surface area of the media. This great surface furnishes a huge adsorption area for organic as well as chlorine molecules to attach themselves. This intermolecular attraction between the carbon surface and the substance that is being adsorbed can be altered by increasing the density of the carbon or by reducing the distance between the carbon surface and the substance being adsorbed.

Iron, Manganese & Arsenic Removal Filter

RevOs Aqua offers a filtration technology, for the removal of troublesome Iron, Manganese and Arsenic from ground water and surface water sources. The water filtration media has extremely high capabilities of removing both iron and manganese simultaneously through low cost catalytic oxidation and retention of precipitate. Sodium hydrochloride is used as the oxidizing agent. The benefit over manganese green sand filters is the higher removal efficiency and less stringent handling procedures required for sodium hydrochloride as opposed to potassium permanganate.
